History

Established in 1994.
In 1994 Mercado Latino build La Placita del Pueblo in which El Puerto has been part of. Good food and service is what sets El Puerto apart from the rest of the restaurants located at La Placita del Pueblo. In April 2010 Daniel and Tony Padilla took over the restaurant. Juan Vargas, our chef, is the soul of the restaurant and has been cooking for it's customers for sixteen years.

Owner

After many years of enjoying meals at El Puerto, Daniel happily took on the responsibility of owning and managing this amazing restaurant. He's proud to bring his passion for delicious Mexican food to El Puerto, and looks forward to wowing you soon. Daniel P.

  My experience was more than great. Originally made my reservation for 5. Went down to 2 and at the last minute went back to 4, then 5, then 6. The place was packed yet the staff made room for us. I know we were being a pain yet staff was more then helpful. The food was great and service was wonderful. Old friends catching up and weren't rushed at all. All around great experience.

  Look this place is great ! My wife and I go here when we are in the mood for Mexican food. The food is wonderful but the people that work there are whats makes the drive worth every penny. Our favorite server is Abby and I'm not sure if it is the owner or manager but he is a real joy to around always smiling. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!

  Dining at El Puerto is like stepping into Old Mexico. The ambiance of the latino mercado with its mariachis an small stores scattered about adds to the overall experience of eating here. Everything on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced. Service is usually very good, but can be spotty. The decor could use some 'sprucing up', but other than that it's a really nice experience.
